DAYO T-Ball is a sports program designed for girls and boys from 3 to 10 years of age, in the Danbury area.

There are 4 divisions:

Born to Play
is for 3 year old boys and girls.  Players will learn the proper techniques for throwing, hitting, fielding along with calisthenics flexibility drills in a non-competitive environment with additional emphasis on group rules and teammate interaction. All players will learn the dynamics of the baseball diamond and the primary rules of playing organized baseball in years to come.

T-Ball is for boys and girls ages 4-5 years old who want to learn the fundamentals of hitting, fielding.  In T-Ball, players will hit off a batting tee.  The primary goals of Tee Ball are to instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball and to allow them to experience team work.

Rookie Ball #1 is for boys and girls ages 6-8 years old.  Players will demonstrate progress in mastering the fundamentals of baseball and the rules of the game.  Players develop skills related to teamwork and respect of coaches.  In Rookie Ball the players hit live pitches from a manual pitching machine or hit off a batting tee.

Hand Eye Coordination
Flexibility and Stretching
Agility and Body Control
Throwing, Catching, Hitting and Fielding Skills

Rookie Ball Elite is for boys and girls ages 7-10 years old.  This is our newest division.  Players will take all the skills learned in previous seasons of Rookie Ball (or other organized baseball), and continue improving those skills.  Players will begin playing the game with outs while keeping with the focus of learning skills in a less competitive atmosphere. In Rookie Ball the players hit live pitches from a manual pitching machine or coach pitch (no tee) which is why a previous season of Rookie Ball #1 or other previous organized baseball is required.
